Terms and Conditions

These are the terms of a stay at Leonora by the Sea, the two-bedroom waterfront cabin at 15870 NE North Shore Rd, Tahuya, Washington. By booking the cabin, through this site or through Airbnb, you agree to them. They are the same policies described on our questions before booking page, gathered in one place.

Booking and payment

• You book the whole cabin. It sleeps up to five guests in two bedrooms, and stays are a minimum of two nights.
• The nightly rate starts at $169. Weekend and holiday rates are higher; the rate for your dates is shown before you pay.
• Cleaning and service fees are included in the rate.
• Washington State sales tax (6.5%) and Mason County local tax (2.1%) apply, about 8.6% in total.
• Payment is taken in full when you book, through Stripe. Your reservation is confirmed by email.
• Booking direct on this site is the same nightly rate as Airbnb, with no platform fees.

Cancellation

• Full refund if you cancel 7 or more days before check-in.
• No refund if you cancel within 7 days of check-in.

To cancel, email reservations@leonorabythesea.com. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Stays booked on Airbnb follow the cancellation terms shown on Airbnb.

Check-in and check-out

• Check-in is at 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM.
• Check-in is self-service with a Schlage digital keypad. Your personal door code is emailed to you 24 hours before arrival and works only for the dates of your stay.

House rules

• No smoking inside the cabin.
• No parties or events.
• No pets.
• Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM.
• Please respect our neighbors. The beach is private and shared only with them; there is no public access.
• Up to five guests may stay overnight.

The beach, the boats and the shellfish

Kayaks, paddle boards and beach gear are at the cabin for you to use. Please use them sensibly, and keep an eye on children and on the tide, which moves quickly across the flats. Before harvesting oysters or clams from the beach, read our oysters and clams page on licenses, private tidelands and the current closures.
