Privacy Notice

Leonora by the Sea is a family-owned cabin in Tahuya, Washington. This page explains what we collect when you visit this site or book a stay, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it. We keep it short because there is not much to tell.

What we collect when you book

When you reserve the cabin through this site, the booking form asks for:

your full name, email address and phone number;
your billing address;
your dates and the number of guests;
payment for the stay.

Card details are entered into a payment form provided by Stripe and go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep Stripe's reference for the payment and the amount paid so we can match it to your reservation and issue refunds under the cancellation policy.

What we do with it

Confirm and manage your reservation.
Send your booking confirmation, and the day before check-in, an email with your personal door code.
Contact you about your stay if something comes up, and answer your questions.
Keep the records we need for tax and accounting.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not send marketing email.

Who handles it for us

A few services run parts of this site on our behalf and receive only what they need for that job:

Stripe processes payments and holds your card details.
Supabase hosts the reservation database where your booking and contact details are stored.
Resend delivers the confirmation and pre-arrival emails.
Seam manages the door code for the keypad lock for the dates of your stay.
Vercel hosts the site and counts visits (see below).

Stays booked on Airbnb come to us through a calendar feed that carries only the dates, so this site can keep the availability calendar accurate. Airbnb's own privacy policy covers what you share there.

Cookies and analytics

The public pages of this site set no cookies of their own. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you. Stripe may set its own cookies when the payment form loads, for fraud prevention. The host login area uses Clerk, which sets cookies only for the host signing in; guests never use it.

Weather and tides

The tide and weather figures on each page are fetched by our server from NOAA and the National Weather Service. Your browser does not contact those services, and nothing about you is sent to them.

How long we keep it

We keep reservation records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Door codes are only valid for the dates of your stay.

Your choices

Email us at reservations@leonorabythesea.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We will do so unless we have to keep a record for tax or accounting reasons, and we will tell you if that is the case.

Changes

If we change how the site works in a way that affects your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
